The Experimental Laboratory at Zeppelin University is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and adhering to the highest ethical standards in academic research.

We ensure that all personal data collected during registration or participation in experiments is processed securely, confidentially, and only for the purposes described below.

Participant Database
  • The personal data collected in the Experimental Laboratory recruitment system (e.g., name, email address, age, field of study, gender) is used exclusively for the organization and administration of scientific research studies.
  • Access to your personal data is strictly limited to authorized laboratory staff. Your information will never be disclosed to third parties.
  • We use your data to:
    • Send you email invitations to participate in upcoming laboratory or online experiments,
    • Select participants for studies based on scientific eligibility criteria,
    • Track attendance and participation statistics for organizational purposes.
  • You may unsubscribe from the participant database at any time by logging into your personal profile page and selecting “Unsubscribe.” You can also request removal by contacting us via email.
  • If you wish to have your personal data deleted, please send a simple email request to: experiment@experiment-zu.de.
During Experiments
  • Your choices and decisions made during experiments generate research data that is used solely for academic purposes.
  • All experimental data is anonymized before analysis. It is not possible to trace research results back to your personal identity.
  • Anonymized data may be used in research publications, academic presentations, and educational materials.
